Gems Bhutan Travels- Authentic Bhutan Trip with Nature

Hello! Kuzu Zangpo!

Warm greetings and best wishes from “Bhutan: Happiness Is A Place”. I am Gem Tshering, Founder and CEO of Gems Bhutan Travels (abbreviated GBT). We are an inbound tour operator, founded in 2012, with a vision to contribute to transforming the travel and tourism landscape in Bhutan, managed “for, of and by people” in a crowded space, which is increasingly (and unfortunately) becoming more automated and herd-mentality driven.  Our reputation for ensuring high quality services and unmatched Bhutanese hospitality experiences for our guests has kept us at the forefront Bhutan’s travel and tourism industry.

We set and live high standards along with our selfless, professional, and multi-lingual guides as well as partners and associates both domestic and international. Our offer also includes unique personalized experiences for individual and group guests, on Bhutan’s less traveled (and even untravelled) paths. Our specializations are in the arts and culture, local festivals, rural agricultural and village experiences, eco-tours, honeymoon and family trips, birding, nature and wildlife, and high-end MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions).

When you choose GBT for your getaways and holidays in Bhutan, you have placed your full confidence and trust in the right people-centered company. Continuous learning (and unlearning) and unconditional improvement is our mantra. We assure you a 100 percent safe, reliable, pleasant, and a truly happy experience in The Land of the Thunder Dragon – at times called the Land of the Peaceful Dragon and known to the world at large as The Last Shangri-La …

We heartily welcome you to join us and be part of our “GBT Experiences – A Truly Bhutan Experience!” in the eastern Himalayas …

Thank You! Kadin Chhe!

We remain a lean, mean, and malleable team. We work very closely with the most reliable, experienced, and professional guides as well as with transport hiring agencies, hotels, and other tourism stakeholders. Networking is our forte.

I first travelled around Bhutan with Gem in 2013, and was very impressed by his comprehensive local knowledge, organising abilities, language skills, and efficiency, as well as his delightfully warm and friendly personality. So when the opportunity arose to visit Bhutan again in 2016, I did not hesitate to go straight back to him with our travel requirements. He gently guided us into a sensible, achievable itinerary (revising it as our preferences developed); chose all the right places to stay (making sure that we got the best available rooms in each, and that our vegetarian diet was observed); provided a reliable, considerate and well-informed guide and a careful driver; and remained on hand himself to deal with any problems. In short, we don’t see how anyone could ask for more from a tour operator. Bhutan is a wonderful destination, because of both the place and the people, and Gem perfectly represents the people.
